Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I gain weight and I really don't eat much or  eat once a day?
This is because your metabolism has slowed down and your brain sends a message to the rest of your body to store because you are going into starvation mode, and begins to store fat.

Carbohydrates generates energy and does this by burning the glucose.  Once the glucose has been converted into fat, it can't come back to it's original state.

I've read that it is better to eat six meals a day, is that true?
You are probably referring to the recommendation to eat three meals a day and three in between snacks.  The more you eat the more you speed up your metabolism.

I've lost weight on your nutrition plan and now I'm at a stand still, what can I do?
You can do three things, first thing is to repeat the week one plan of raw fruit and vegetables.  The second thing you can do is switch your work-out regiment by either the frequency (how often), the time (how long) and the cardio equipment. After you have done the same exercises the body and muscles no longer respond, so switch it up!! Thirdly, practice the 3 P's which are Pace yourself, have Patience and be Persistent.

Why do I feel like I'm eating all day long on the Nutrition Plan?
This is because you have gotten away from properly eating 3 balanced meals starting with breakfast, so you need to reprogram yourself to eat right and that includes three meals a day.

Is all fast food bad for you?
No, it is not and the restaurants that offer salads and fruit on their menu take advantage of those choices. The problem derives from the food that are high in complex carbohydrates  makes you feel full for a longer time after eating them. These consist of bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, beans etc.....

Is coffee, tea, or green tea bad for you?
Keep in mind that all three contain caffeine, and can cause dehydration, if you consume too much.  Plus the things added like sugar, coffee creamer can add unwanted pounds.  Coffee acts similar to a cigarette it suppresses the appetite, which you don't want to do.   It is better to drink non-flavored water.

Do I have to stop drinking alcohol?
Just like eating everything should be done in moderation and alcohol has high levels of sugar and effects your liver.  Excess glycogen is stored as fat by the liver.
